Net Asset Value (NAV) is the market value of the fund’s holdings minus liabilities, divided by the number of units. It is the price at which you buy or sell units that day.
A fund with a NAV of ₹250 is not “more expensive” or “better” than one with a NAV of ₹25. The number only reflects how much the portfolio has grown (or shrunk) and how many units were issued over time, including dividends and splits.
What matters for comparison is category, risk, expense ratio, consistency of process, and how the fund fits your goal and time horizon — not the absolute NAV figure.
